How To Bring Back The Old Windows Photo Viewer As Your Default Image Viewer

When you upgraded to Windows 10, from either Windows 7 or 8.1, you must have realized that Microsoft did away with the old Windows Photo Viewer. In its place, you now get the Windows Photo App.
While Windows Photo App might have its advantages like being able to edit pictures really quickly and share them online. For me, and many others, the old Windows Photo Viewer, is just straightforward, faster and we are used to it. The new Photo App takes some time getting used to, and it is just not the same as the old Windows Photo Viewer.
If you upgraded from Windows 7 or 8.1 to Windows 10, you should find the Windows Photo Viewer when you right click a picture and go to the ‘Open With’ options. But if you performed a clean install of Windows 10, Microsoft has completely disabled the Windows Photo Viewer.
But Geek Savanna has come across a simple hack at Ten Forums that will enable you to get back the Windows Photo Viewer. This hack is revealed by a guy called Edwin, whereby you simply download this 643kb file [Windows-Photo-Viewer-hack-for-Windows-10]. You will need to download that registry editor, after unzipping it. Then you can click on the .reg file in the folder and then a new registry will be added to your Windows 10 PC.
Once this has been done, you can right click on any picture on your computer (.jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp) and go to the ‘Open With’ options. Next click on ‘More apps’ and scroll down where you will see the Windows Photo Viewer as an option to open the image file.windowd photo viewer.jpg
Note, you can make Windows Photo Viewer become the default app for opening pictures with a specific file extension. Say .jpg, and when you open another picture with the extension .png the Windows Photo App will be the default viewer. You can repeat the above procedure and set Windows Photo Viewer to become the default viewer for all picture extensions (.jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp)

At the Computex conference in Taipei, chipmaker Intel has revealed a fanless mobile PC reference design using the first of its next-generation 14nm "Broadwell" processors. How to Choose BitLocker Drive Encryption Method and Cipher Strength in Windows 10?

BitLocker is an encryption method that enables users to lock the different drives in  Windows . We first reported on  Metaio’s Thermal Touch concept  for Augmented Reality interaction last spring. Still in its infancy, the concept relies on thermal imaging cameras to track residual heat your body leaves on surfaces that it touches. Metaio’s software can track these heat signatures so they act as “clicks” or “touches” in Augmented Reality interfaces that only the user sees on interactive eyewear or devices.
