How to share your PC internet on Android Smartphone via USB cable

Sometimes high speed Internet is required on your Smartphone , no matter how your 2G/3G mobile data speeds be ! & That is needed due to the background data that happens to run and process in background by each and every app ! due to which we occur to have slows data speeds & On top of that , If you don't have Wi-Fi connection (router) at your home it's bit of mess for many. You can always use your PC's internet on your phone via a USB cable , hey this works for non rooted phones ! Ohh yes i said " Non rooted " devices.

Note : This only works on limited no of devices !!

Phone Part :

So jump into settings , connect your phone to PC via a USB cable , then On your phone go to Developer options in settings and turn on USB debugging ( if it doesn't show up go to About section in settings and keep tapping on build number and you would unlock developer options )  , Once you're through with that part , go to settings > more > USB Internet . Then select your desired computer operating system , click next & select done .

Screenshots :-

So this is all the phone part , then hop to your Computer ( Windows only )

Computer Part :

Go to Control panel >  Network and Internet > Network & Sharing Center , then click on Change Adapter Settings ( It's present in upper left hand side ) , after that you can see a new Lan connection being popped up , go to your default broadband connection then right click on it , to access properties , then click on sharing > Tick Allow > Select Lan Connection 2 , Hit OK & your're good to go !! Now Your Computer Internet (Lan NET) is running on you Android powered Smartphone Via  USB Cable.

So after that Internet is working properly on my phone , just keep in mind that whenever you need internet on your phone , you gotta go with all these steps again and again , but that's the catch !!

The same can be done with Windows Phones too , You just need Zune installed on your PC , just connect your windows phone to PC Via USB cable, then launch Zune on your PC , no need to do weird things that are needed in android , The windows phone automatically connects to the internet.

This in turn is what drains your battery , But in turn you receive is that classic high speed experience on your smartphone , a feeling like you are ahead of this world , ohh I'm just kidding :D !!!

Phoenix OS is (another) Android-as-a-desktop

Google Android may have been developed as a smartphone operating system (and later ported to tablets, TVs, watches, and other platforms), but over the past few years we’ve seen a number of attempts to turn it into a desktop operating system. One of the most successful has been  Remix OS , which gives Android a taskbar, start menu, and an excellent window management system. The Remix OS team has also generated a lot of buzz over the past year, and this week the operating system gained a lot of new alpha testers thanks to a  downloadable version of Remix OS  that you can run on many recent desktop or notebook computers. But Remix OS isn’t the only game in town.  Phoenix OS  is another Android-as-desktop operating system, and while it’s still pretty rough around the edges, there are a few features that could make it a better option for some testers. Some background I first discovered Phoenix OS from  a post in the Remix OS Google Group , altho...

How Education Will Be Smarter, Less Intrusive, And Able To Respond To How You Feel

Impatience characterizes the technology sector’s approach to education. Disruption is taking place in all other sectors of society — so, why not education? I know too well, whether at Pearson or in the classroom, the challenges and frustration of developing and using digital tools that improve outcomes for students. But I’m optimistic. We are on the verge of a tide of smarter innovation that, if allowed to spread, will turbocharge the learning experience for students. Here are four areas worth watching: 1. Using technology to learn from learners Every great digital product constantly evolves by learning from its users, adding capabilities, and improving its performance. If it’s true for your Facebook feed, then why not education? The potential is there, as the OECD’s recent report on  Students, Computers and Learning  (OECD) incidentally showed how clickstream and tracking navigation in digital readers can be used to see how students process online text and...

The App Ecosystem’s New Status Quo

Americans spent more time using smartphone and tablet applications in 2014 than they did mobile and desktop web combined. With  nearly four billion smartphones projected  to be in use by 2020, the platform shift to mobile is well underway. The smartphone supply chain has already become a central and unifying aspect of the tech industry. For the first time, there exists a ubiquitous technology that connects us all to a central ecosystem, and apps form a huge part of this. The bar is constantly rising for mobile, and if we accept the “mobilization” of the future as a given, then what we are seeing is only just the very beginning.   Paradigm shift in payment models Many people still view apps as unsophisticated software with simple, one-dimensional functionality. This perception, however, is going to change. With the widespread adoption of mobile devices and the continued improvement of the hardware layer, alongside the creation of a robust app economy, it has bec...
