Tendr Is Tinder For Finding Your Next Equity Crowdfunding Investment

Q: What do you get when you combine the swipe-to-like mechanism, popularized by dating app Tinder, with a wealth of potential equity crowdfunding investment opportunities?
A: an aggregator-sorter app called Tendr, that’s launched in the U.K. today (on iOS andAndroid) — promising to apply Tinderish thumb grease to equity crowdfunding investment campaigns to widen the deal flow funnel.
The aggregator app pulls in campaign content from multiple equity crowdfunding platforms at launch, including Crowdcube, Seedrs, Angel List U.K., Angels Den, Crowdfunder, Funding Tree and Investing Zone, letting investors maximize their exposure to businesses they might want to back within a single interface, while also applying an addictive, Tinder-style snap-decision sorting mechanism.
Tendr is really just a way of starring an investment opportunity that looks interesting for proper perusal later. So whether it ends up saving time or maximizing deal flow efficiency is up for debate. But it does offer a tweakable one-stop-shop for scanning multiple (U.K.) equity crowdfunding investment opportunities.
“Tendr removes friction, thereby increasing efficiency in deal sourcing,” argues founder Lex Deak, who is also the founder of global super angels investment club QVentures. “It is a useful tool for investors who are currently having to access up to a dozen platforms individually, it is also a nice lightweight channel for entrepreneurs and the wider start-up ecosystem for staying abreast of trends and what’s hot.
“As we grow we’ll be able to offer unsurpassed insight into how groups invest together and which deals are most popular. In the near future it will be the norm to invest in unlisted equities and alternative investments from your smartphone.”
Investors wanting to put money into a business they’ve found via Tendr are redirected to the relevant platform. The app doesn’t currently have a business model of its own, but if usage scales Deak says it will be looking to take a cut of any transactions it generates. He says development thus far has primarily been bootstrapped by the management team.
“As our numbers grow and we include a wider variety of alternative instruments, such as loans and property deals, we will charge a small percentage on transactions,” he says. “We’re working on including tailored content for users in relation to their investment preferences which may open up an additional stream. Lastly we are collecting insightful data on the alternative finance sector, we will always make the majority of this data freely available but there may be a case for a cost for bespoke reports in the future.”
Initially Tendr is U.K. only but the plan is to open it up to Europe and further afield, later this year. The first version of the app offers only minimal filters so users can select which platforms they’d like to see deals from and customize how often they’d like to be notified of new deals. Deak says the next version of the app will includes more advanced notifications so users can get a push notification when a liked deal reaches a certain percentage of funding.

How to Run Older Applications in Windows 10

You cannot expect all the vendors to upgrade their programs to make them compatible with Windows and neither would you want to purchase all the applications every time a new version of Windows is out. Nonetheless, the fact still remains the same that not all applications are compatible with the latest operating systems and there are times when many applications do not initialize when you upgrade your PC to a newer version of Windows. To make things easy for you, Windows 10 allows you to run the programs in compatibility mode. Running a program in compatibility mode makes the application think that it is installed on an older, compatible version of Windows, thus the software runs without any flaws. There are two ways you can run a program in compatibility mode: Program Compatibility Troubleshooter – This is a step-by-step wizard that allows you to pick a program that you prefer to use and configures it to run in compatibility mode. Three Reasons Why You Need Better Personal Cyber security

From the infamous Sony hack to the recent WannaCry virtual catastrophe that affected over 300,000 computers, the need for reliable personal cyber security has never been more apparent. Rubica's skilled team of experts want to remind every one of the importance of cyber security and the three reasons why it is becoming a more pressing issue every day. With top-notch personal cyber security, most attacks are preventable. 1. Larger Number Of Attacks Americans have heard of the most notable attacks on major corporations or government entities over the past several years. However, most people who are not in the information security field do not learn just how much the attack frequency is growing. Although the cost associated with the number of annual recorded attacks is in the $500 billion range right now, experts say that it will grow well into the trillions by ...

The Windows 10 Phone Companion and Android: Do you need it?

This is the Windows 10 Phone Companion app. It's what you'll see when you plug your phone into a Windows 10 box. And it's half-useful, half-plea to get you to install some of Microsoft's apps on your phone. (And these days, there's a decent chance that those apps will be on there in the first place.) But it's not entirely without use. You'll notice how it recognizes the make and model of the phone — in this case the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. It also notes the total charge, and whether it's currently charging. (Which it probably should be seeing as how it's plugged in, but we digress.) You also get a nice glance at where you stand on storage. On this 128GB model, I've got 98.1GB available to me as a user, and 15.7GB of that has been used. (SD card storage is blank because there's no external storage on the GS6, of course.) The apps Microsoft suggests you download here include OneDrive, OneNote, Skype, Office (OK, Word, Excel and PowerP...
