Samsung Files patent for a new Smart Ring aiming at remote control of the various smartphone, TV and home automation system directly from your finger. Samsung filed the patent with the US Patent & Trademark Office. Mechanism includes smartphone recognizing the seat ring and displaying a menu as well as icons which the ring could control. The Samsung filing patent clearly shows the motives to win over the lost market. Smartphones are getting outdated and there are ample amount of smartphones in the techvilla, which go toe to toe in terms of specifications. Qualcomm  announced today that it has inked new patent licensing deals in China with smartphone manufacturers Beijing Tianyu Communication Equipment and Haier Group. The San Diego-based chipmaker has made a series of similar agreements over the past two months as it recovers from an antitrust investigation by the Chinese government. Since the beginning of November, Qualcomm has also announced deals with  QiKu , a joint venture between Qihoo 360 and Coolpad,  Xiaomi , Huawei, TCL Communication Technology Holdings, and ZTE. Financial terms for its latest deals were undisclosed, but Qualcomm stated that its licensing agreements with Tianyu and Haier adhere to the terms of a rectification plan it submitted to China’s National Reform and Development Commission earlier this year after the government found that it had violated national antimonopoly laws. Qualcomm said at the time that it disagreed with the results of the investigation, but agreed to pay a $975 million penalty.The fin

According to a researcher Chris Vickery said that the database includes names, addresses, birth dates, party affiliations, phone numbers and emails of voters in all 50 U.S states and Washington. Vickery found the information while look for data exposed on the Web to raise awareness about data leaks. “I want our society to respect privacy more,” he said. “We need serious referendum on the way private data is handled.” Vickery wasn’t sure about others who accessed the voter database, which took about a day to download. Samsung Pay plans a major expansion in the United States next year. Users will be able to make purchases on websites with Samsung Pay, which puts it into more direct competition with services like Paypal,  Reuters reports . The mobile wallet platform will be also available on lower-end Samsung smartphones, not just flagship models like the Galaxy S6 Edge. In an interview with Reuters, Samsung global co-general manager Thomas Ko said Samsung Pay will roll out to more smartphone models next year. The payment platform launched in the U.S. in September and has an advantage over competitors because it can emulate magnetic stripe cards thanks to Samsung’s acquisition of LoopPay, in addition to using NFC technology like Apple Pay and Android Pay. Google  and  Ford  are planning to develop and build self-driving vehicles together in a joint venture and will announce the deal at next month’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, says a report in Yahoo Autos. The partnership would represent a major collaboration between two of the biggest names in the tech and automotive industries. According to Yahoo Autos’ sources, the deal is not exclusive, which means Google would be free to work with other automakers who are interested in its self-driving car technology. Being the first company to strike a deal with Google, however, may give Ford an edge over rivals, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo, and Tesla, that are also working on self-driving cars and eager to get them to market. SpaceX has done it. Elon Musk’s rocket startup just successfully launched and then landed a Falcon 9 rocket some ten minutes later. This comes after several attempts that ended in fiery explosions. The rocket was carrying 11 satellites destined for low-Earth orbit. It’s important to note, this rocket isn’t a one-off affair, or a small rocket like the Blue Origin New Shepard or SpaceX Grasshopper. This Falcon 9 carried important cargo and landing the rocket booster was the secondary goal of the mission. The 15-story Falcon 9 is a serious rocket, capable of reaching 124 miles up thanks to the 1.5 million pounds of thrust produced by its 9 engines. LG  Electronics wants to help you with your home cleaning chores. The company has announced that it will showcase the Hom-Bot Turbo+, the world’s first robotic vacuum cleaner featuring an augmented reality view at the CES 2016 trade show next month. The smart cleaner, which can be controlled by a smartphone, doubles as a security camera. The Hom-Bot Turbo+ comes with a range of interesting features. It has a vision system that lets it automatically avoid the obstacles in its way. The augmented reality view in the Hom-Bot Turbo+ can be observed on the paired smartphone, the company noted. This also enables a user to clean a specific area by just tapping on the screen. The smart vacuum cleaner houses a range of sensors and filters including the Home-Joy, Home-View, Home-Guard, Triple-Eye, Robonavi, Smart Inverter Motor, Corner Master, Digital Bumper, and Easy-out Dust Bin. It has a noise level of 60dB, and comes with an inbuilt lithium battery. The Hom-Bot Turbo+ also works as
