Microsoft smartphones: Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 550 – overview and full specifications
Microsoft has officially unveiled its the latest flagship smartphones – Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, which are running under the Mobile OS – Windows 10 Mobile. The top devices of the software giant turned out the smartphones, about which we heard a lot of details from different sources, and also saw a large number of photos and renderings.
Lumia 950 XL received a 5.7-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixel, eight-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, 32 GB of non-volatile memory with a slot for Micro SD card, 3 GB of RAM, and battery capacity of 3340 mAh. Lumia 950 offers a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, six-core processor Snapdragon 808, 20-megapixel camera with triple flash, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB ROM with a slot for Micro SD card, and 3 GB of RAM. The battery capacity of 3000 mAh.
The smartphone has a 20-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization, aperture of F / 1.9 and a triple flash. The devices are able to shoot video in 4K resolution, you can run the application via a physical button on the end device.
Quick charge allows to charge a smartphone from 0 to 50 percent in only 30 minutes. Both the smartphones also support Windows Hello, which is used to identify the owner of the gadget and used in the desktop version of the operating system in a number of monoblocks and notebooks of the top-end segment.
New flagships support Continuum – this feature allows you to connect your smartphone to a Microsoft Display Dock and use it with an external monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse. Implementation of the possibility is achieved when connected via an accessory for Microsoft Display Dock USB Type-C, what is used in the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. The dock has an HDMI, DisplayPort and three USB-connector standard size. You can transfer images at resolutions up to 1080p.
Microsoft’s flagship smartphones Lumia 950 and Lumia XL 950 will go on sale in November with prices starting at $549 and $649 respectively.
Microsoft also showed his potential budget hit – Lumia 550. The novelty is equipped with a new 4.7-inch display with HD-resolution, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1 GHz, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of ROM, expandable by card memory, 5-megapixel main and 2-megapixel front cameras.
The smartphone can work in LTE-networks. The capacity of the battery will be 2100 mAh. Lumia 550 will go on sale for only $139 in December.
